I just found out about this reunion now.  I graduated in 1978 and have lost touch with most of the people I "hung out" with - Brenda Moore, Terry Mills, Sheila Last.  I am out in Calgary and involved with theatre - working for Theatre Calgary.  I think fondly of my days at Frontenac and how simple life was back then!!  I remember the school dances,  football gaes and certain teachers, good and bad!!!  I always had a crush on Joe Hamilton and Jim Thompson - anyone know what they are up to these days?  They won't remember me - I was kind of quiet.  Didn't really have a clique that I hung out with - just tried to be friends with almost everyone.   Anyway, I hope I can make it to the next one, whenever that is.  PS:  Ran into Sandra Alfaro awhile ago here in Calgary - she owns an internet cafe.  Does anyone remember Wei Shen Chin - from J.R. Henderson?  I made contact with him - he is now a successful surgeon in Florida and races cool cars.  Please write me!!!!

Class of  95 (give or take a year! Grins! Memories going!) I wish I could be there for the reunion but I live and work in Taiwan now. I hope everyone has a great time! I can't really say I was one of the students that enjoyed High School but can say my life has gotten much better! I worked in Graphic Design for 5 years before uprooting myself to Taiwan, where I now teach grade one English! After all the trouble I had reading in grade nine wouldn't my old English teachers be surprised! I've even managed to learn to read and write some basic Chinese! ;o) Have fun!

Hi Marc,
You've done a great job with this sight....from what I recall of you in high school days, I'm surprised you have enough brain cells left to do this good a job...just joking...Kudos!
I'm now in Nova Scotia and only just happened accross the sight...a little too late for the reunion unfortunately. I would have liked to have tried to make it.

Hi all--especially those that graduated in 1986 and 1987--went back for grade 13 then tried college again.  Did not find out about the reunion until well after it.  Wished that I had heard about it earlier so that I could have attended.  How was it?  What is new will all my former classmates?

It was only by accident that I found out that there had been a reunion last May - what bad luck for me! I've been living in Montreal for 20 years and my sisters Natalie and Julia are both in Toronto, so we don't have a lot of ties in Kingston anymore. I'm very sorry to have missed my chance to see "how we all turned out" and hope that some paths will cross in the future.

Our “CBHS” Reunion…….In the vernacular of our time……”THAT WAS KOOL” What a fabulous job by the committee and especially Gord and Julie Sly (Thompson) who did a bang up job on the “50’s” Room….Our Room, I guess you might call it… When I first signed in, I mentioned it was nearly 43 years since I’d seen some of my school friends and classmates, well, the wait was certainly worth it and the stories, believe it or not, were quite accurate too. As I had mentioned in my classmates sign up, I had a lot of good memories of Collins Bay High School and it was as much fun remembering them as it was living them way back when… “Special Hello’s here to Gord Sly &Julie Sly (Thompson), Bill Quick, Riley McQuaid, Mavis Rollins, Jo-Anne Wheeler (Hopkins), Rick Little, Terry O’Shea, Jim Roberts & Florence Roberts (Shaver), Mary Deutsch, Lynn Young, Clare Dubac, Brian Roe, Wendy Westlake, Linda’s little sister, and to all of you who I met on the weekend but didn’t remember from the old days, a special hello to you too. So, as we used to say in Miss Muirheads French class “OH RESIVOIR”

Thank you to everyone at Frontenac who made the reunion weekend so special for all of us who attended. The school was looking great and all the events were fantastic. We talked a lot about how to describe something so special as the reunion and came up with words like 'surreal', 'mindblowing', 'awesome' and just plain brilliant!! I will never forget the weekend nor the feeling I had seeing friends I hadn't seen in ages. I am honoured to have shared my 'formative years' with some pretty incredible people. Keep in touch. There's an open invitation for anyone who wants to come to Scotland for a visit.

On a Reunion note: I'm sorry I missed the Friday night event, I did make it to the rest of the weekend and would like to say thankyou to all the organizers. 'm sure there are dozens that worked behind the scene, so cheers to all. Special thanks to Kathy Mclean for setting up Raxx for me. Thanks to Karen Kruger (Knight) and Karen Wickham for putting up with me ALL weekend. Thanks to Karen Kruger for letting me sleep on her sofa Saturday night, sorry Ron, didn't mean to set off your burglar alarm at 7:30!

THANK YOU so much to the organizing committee for all of that work that resulted in the best weekend that I have had since I can't remember when. Ellen, it was great to see you again, and Dee, I'm sorry I didn't get to see you. Seeing long time friends (I won't call them old, because we're not!) was wonderful. It was like time hadn't passed at all. The weekend went too fast and I didn't have enough time with people, but I enjoyed it all. The decorations, the new paint, the wine and cheese, the dance and the beautiful flutes and the little garnet falcon painted on the flower vase, Raxx, the breakfast, everything. I'd like to do it again next weekend. But I'll settle for 2 to 5 years. Take care everyone, see you next time! Ana Maria

Thanks to the organizers, especially Gord Sly. I met up with Paul Chabot and "Miss" Ruth Gosling. Both remembered me from 1959...they have memories like steel traps. Very gratifying to realise I was either an excellent student or a real pain. Richard Little, from A9A, '59, said it all on the Sunday morning. He said, "It's like a costume party...all your young friends are wearing old faces." Super weekend, except for the speeding ticket 6 miles out of The Soo. Nice cop though...said he'd record it not as 115 in a 90, but 105, so no points lost. Cheers

THANK YOU:)THANK YOU:) to all those on the committee who organized this amazing weekend, from the dance at FSS on Fri nite, to the off site bar event at Raxx on Sat nite. Really had lots of fun seeing good friends from the past! If you know Randy Hughson, check out his play in Gan (we did on Sun aft) a tribute/life story "Stompin Tom Connors". Just think he got his start at FSS. What a great actor! The girls who got together are already planning our next weekend/party outing 1 in July and a ski weekend in Quebec.

The reunion was a "blast". The experience made me realize how blessed I am to have grown up with such wonderful people in Kingston and especially at Frontenac Secondary. It was great to reconnect with some "old" friends (and I mean that literally) and to say hello to some of my past teachers. Even my wife who grew up 1200 miles from Kingston, enjoyed the entire reunion experience. It was the first time in a long time we got to go out of town without kids. Thanks to all who were involved with planning the event. If anyone ever makes it down to the sunny south (Atlanta), drop me an email and let me know.

I'm so glad I was able to be part of this amazing event, and re-connect with soooo many people from so long ago! I had a great time Friday and Saturday nights...at the school, and at Raxx, but unfortunately am still paying for it! So, I didn't make the daytime events as I had to rest of for the evening ones! And to Tony Tan...yes you are that old...and yes, the waitresses at Raxx are all 12 years old! (Except the one friend of mine who I know is a grown-up!) To the organizers...congratulations on a brilliant job! And to my friends from the past, please stay in touch! All the best to everyone.

And to think I almost didn't attend. Thanks to my sister Lenore for being so relentless in convincing me to go even though I didn't think many people from my year would be there. I was wrong. (Thanks too to Linda Williams for some gentle persuasion!) The Seventies Room was really lively, and it was more fun than I had imagined to reconnect with old friends and former classmates, as well teachers. Organizers, you did a fabulous job: thanks for pulling together an event that meant a great deal to so many people.... Lots of rekindled memories, hugs and laughter. A little adrenaline, apprehension and excitement. Throw in a bit of social drama and some alcohol. Mix it all up and you put the "high school" into reunion. I missed speaking to many people and visited others for too short a time. Friday night was a blur ( I missed the complimentary wine so that wasn't the reason ;).... My sympathy to those who were unable to attend. The staging and effort was over the top by any standard and you would have felt great pride being part of it all. Be sure to check out the reunion link on "Facebook" for event photos. Who is planning the 60th??

I'm unable to attend the reunion but hope you all have a great time. Had the time of my life at FSS from 72 to 77, Football, Rugby, beer (Remember the Manor?) and friends, lots of good memories. I,ve lost touch with most folks over the years but I'm still in Kingston, married to a wonderful gal from Halifax with 4 great daughters, and I have been employed just down the road at Invista (DuPont) for 20 years. My brother Dave and I recently started a clasic rock band called "The Spitfires" and we will actually be playng at the Harrowsmith Music Festival on June 9th...if you see us there, or anywhere stop and say hi, it would be nice to see some of the old crowd.

Really looking forward to this reunion weekend. This will probably be one of the last messages in the guest book! Those who remember me will not find that surprising...procrastination was always one of my strong points. I would also like to extend my thanks to the reunion committee. Looking forward to reunion with friends.

Hey! I know my parents will be there, but I am afraid I am stuck waaaaay over in Toronto (well, okay, not so far) It would be great to see some people from the class of '89, but I...well...I am still in school now doing a Ph.D, so maybe we'll have to wait another 18 years until I have grown up. Anyone who remembers me, drop me a line!! I am in K-town every once in a while still.

Oh my gosh, it's so amazing to read all the comments and connect to some familiar names in this guest book after all these years. Didn't spend much time around Frontenac having dated a guy from another school; but...I certainly remember some great people I was lucky enough to meet. Look forward to seeing some familiar faces. Have resided in Kingston for the most part since graduation, working at Queen's and the school board as a Financial Systems analyst. Now at Canada Revenue Agency in Verification and Enforcement. I did retire for a few years in between and have kept busy with travelling and so far have made it to over 50 countries. Anyone going from our year, please write as I am trying to get up the nerve to attend alone and knowing some familiar faces will be there, will help.

I remember sitting in Science class one day, when mention of the year 2000 got me thinking about what life would be like then. It seemed so unimaginable, and other-worldly. However, here I am, in the year 2007, and what seemed like a space oddessy in my teenage years is now the reality I experience everyday. I'd love to hear from anyone I shared that time with ('74 -'78).

Just found out about the reunion this past weekend by driving past the school. Guess when you only go back to Kingston once or twice a year you tend not to keep in touch. Did the married thing, have two great boys 13 and 9 from that learning experience. I am Self employed in the world of high finance. Other peoples money not mine. Hope everyone has fun.

hi everyone from way back in the days of Oliver and Cindy, Frontenac Flying Falcons, grade nine all-girl's class with Mr. Dickey, baking souffle in Mrs. Hearn's home ec class etc.....!! Bob and I are looking forward to the reunion - we'll be there with bells on! Thank you to the organizers - and this site is beautifully done. We're living in Victoria, BC - have been here since '93. Lived across Canada and in Germany (we're still doing the military thing) since leaving Kingston. Our boys, Mike and Pat, are 29 and 31 - how did that happen when we're still high-school sweehearts and in our teens? Woud love to hear from you... Bob and Lillian

From the number of long-lost names I recognized in the guest book it looks like this reunion is going to be a big success. Sadly, a trip back to Canada is not in the cards, and if I did come back I'd probably just end up in the Vice Principal's office explaining another sin (Hi, Mr Mulville. Remember me?). Good luck to everyone and hope it goes well. (Lt Col) Anthony Kaduck, Shrivenham, England. (Class of 75 member voted the least likely candidate to make a career as an infantry officer!)
